James' November AudioBooks (Part I)

11/1/06 - "Transforming Leadership" (James MacGregor Burns)
The was an interesting, albeit academic and historical approach to leadership. It was a bit "heady" for casual listening, but worthwhile for a more in-depth study of leadership.
Overall -- "Not recommended for casual listening."

11/13/06 - "Lucky: A Memoir" (Alice Sebold)
Written and narrated by a brave trauma survivor, this was a candid look into a world seldom witnessed. As an 18-year-old college freshman, she was brutally raped and beaten in a park near campus. The narration wasn't very good, but the story was definitely worth reading. Her description was a bit graphic in places, but certainly not offered for any type of "shock value."
Overall -- "A disturbing, but worthwhile memoir"

11/18/06 -- "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream" (Barack Obama)
Written & narrated by the Illinois Senator and potential Presidential candidate, this was a refreshingly honest look at the thoughts and beliefs of a politician. Regardless of your personal politics, this candidate has a lot to offer.
Overall -- "Certainly worth the read, even if you hate politics :) "
