Birthday recap

The birthday went great! Not exactly how you would think to spend a birthday, but still very fun! James was in the Veteran's Day parade down 5th Ave with the rest of the cadets from his detachment and from NJIT. The parade started at 11:00, so Patricia and I got ready early and took the train into the city. We were in place by 11:00 in-front of the NY Public Library. We were smack dab in the middle of the parade. It began when hundreds of Harley riders went by honking and waving. It was unbelievable all the bikes, colors and paint jobs. James is driving the van so you can't see him very well. After the parade, Patricia and I raced back to the detachment on the 1 train. We got there just as James and the cadets drove up. James changed and we all went back into the city. We went for dinner and a movie. We also visited the Hello Kitty store. We found the Build-A-Bear, but we did not have time to go in. We will have to save that for another trip. Patricia also wanted to visit the American Girl store but we could not find it. All in all James' and my birthday went very well.
