Tropical Storm Ernesto neared the southeastern US coast for the second time in two days Thursday. He finally hit and took out the power to 30,000 customers in the New York area. The weather did not seem too bad at the time, but the damage was severe. Our landlords parents lost a tree in their front yard. Luckily it only hit the corner of the house, no one was hurt. We were without power for 48 hours. We got the last of three generators at Home Depot. "It was almost like camping" according to Patricia. She loved every minute of it! The dogs were scared...Nod, nod; wink, wink. They just wanted on the bed.
